Orange Shirt Day - Monday September 30th, we encourage all to wear Orange on this day. This day is a effort to raise awareness of the impact that has been caused by boarding schools in North America. CLB School Buildings will be doing some recognition on this day.
There will be a Men's Gathering at Cedar Lakes Casino on Wednesday 10.23.24 Starts at 9am. This event is not only for men but our young men can participate as well. Please feel free to contact the number on the flyer for questions or concerns. Miigwech
Ms. Jessica DeVault will be holding Beading and Regalia Making classes starting this Thursday 9.26.24 from 330-530 and will continue every Thursday after that. If your child wishes to participate please have them bring a permission slip in order to participate.
Indian Education is partnering with Mrs. Bonnie Fairbanks by offering young women adolescence teachings for the High School and Middle School. It is for HS grades 9 to 12 on Wednesday 10.2.24 12 - 1230 Culture room. MS grades 7 to 8 Wednesday 10.2.24 1230-1 PM Media Center.
The Cross Country team is running today! The team is heading to Deer River (Blueberry Hills) the meet starts at 4pm!

Help Your Child's School Prevent the Spread of Infection
Know when your child is well enough to go to school and when they should stay home because of their symptoms. Some reasons to have your child stay home include fever, vomiting, diarrhea, and respiratory symptoms that are getting worse or not improving. Guidance on staying home when sick can also help you decide whether your child needs to stay home.
If you feel sick, stay home and away from others until 24 hours after both of these things have happened:
You are fever-free (without fever-reducing medications),
and
Your symptoms are getting better.
Then layer on added prevention strategies (such as masks, distancing, and tests) for the next 5 days. Talk to your doctor right away about medications that can help you recover faster, especially if you are in a high-risk group.

No JH VB practice tonight
Hello CLBHS Families,
Due to construction in the gym today afternoon PE classes will be outside. Students in Mr. Ruud or Mr. Hanson classes will be walking around the track or playing kickball.
All 5th-6th Football Players and Parents!
We need enough kids to make a team for this weekends games. If you signed your child up please try and make it. We want to make sure that we have a team!
Practices are Mondays and Wednesdays from 5pm-7pm

Truth & Reconciliation-Orange Shirt Day Beading Project w/ Cass Lake Bena School Districts 21st Century Community Learning Center. This event is open to all buildings

This event is open to all CL-B families and students. The hope is to educate community on what Trust and Reconciliation/Day-Orange Shirt Day is, which is an effort to raise awareness of the inter-generational impact and harm that has been caused to tribal reserves and communities, first nations and families by residential schools and boarding schools. And to remember the ancestors who endured everything those systems brought.
The Orange Shirt symbolizes the stripping away of culture, freedom and self esteem of indigenous children over many generations.
Attendees will watch 2 short videos, participate in open discussion and share thoughts as we transition into the beaded orange shirt pin project. There will be other items and coloring pages for the littles who may not be able to do a pin.
PLEASE WEAR ORANGE, RED OR BLACK TO THIS EVENT.
Each kit will contain enough supplies to make a beaded Orange Shirt pin.
PARTICIPANTS MAY CHOOSE ONE SESSION TO ATTEND
