21st Century 3rd-5th Grade Mighty Builder Parents -
A permission slip is being sent home with your student tonight. Please sign and return the permission form tomorrow. Students without a signed permission slip will not be able to stay after school for Mighty Builders tomorrow Wednesday, January 28th.
For student safety in extreme weather, please ensure you are at the school by 4:15pm to pick up your student.

Just a quick reminder that today is the last day of K-2nd Music & Movement (Group C) for our 21CCLC Elementary program 🎶 Thanks to our students for bringing the energy!

On another note, we’re back with Mighty Builders (3rd-5th) League 🛠️ this Wednesday from 3:00-4:15 and are excited to jump into the next round with our builders!

Due to a miscommunication there will only be one game tonight for JH Boys. The game will be one three half contest. The contest will also be an inner squad scrimmage between 7th & 8th.

We’re excited to once again offer Summer Youth Sports at Cass Lake-Bena! 🐾☀️

Registration is now open from January 26 through June 1. Please be sure to complete the registration accurately and completely, as correct and up-to-date information is important for communication and planning.

• Softball – 1st–2nd, 3rd–4th, 5th–6th

📌 Important Note: Students will be placed on teams based on their current grade level, not their future grade.

Today, students brought home updated copies of our E-Learning Matrix in their backpacks. The matrix is also available on the elementary homepage. Please keep a copy at home for reference in the event of inclement weather or other school closures. Thank you for your continued partnership.

MN READ Act & Upcoming Reading Assessment

As part of the Minnesota READ Act, students will be participating in upcoming reading assessments designed to support strong early literacy skills. Our school uses CAPTI Read Basix, a brief, computer-based reading assessment that helps teachers understand each student’s reading strengths and areas for growth. CAPTI measures skills such as phonics, word recognition, and reading comprehension. Results are used to guide classroom instruction and ensure students receive the support they need to continue growing as confident readers. Families of students assessed will be notified when testing begins, and results will be shared once available.

🚨 1/24 Saturday Night Live Cancellation Notice 🚨

Due to inclement weather and freezing temperatures expected this weekend, CLB 21CCLC Saturday Night Live (SNL) Day and Night Sessions are cancelled for Saturday, January 24th.

We appreciate your understanding as we want to keep our students, families, and workers safe. Details about our February SNL dates will be shared soon please watch for updates!
